What GSA Contracts need to do by July 31st

Learn about the critical steps GSA Contractors need to complete by July 31st for a smooth transition to the new GSA MAS Contract, and how Blackfyre can assist.

Title: What GSA Contracts Need to Do by July 31st

As Blackfyre, a leading GSA Federal Schedule Consulting firm, we are keeping a close watch on the important updates from GSA about the deadline for legacy GSA Schedule contractors to update their GSA Advantage. This update is extremely crucial for the visibility and functionality of contractors' offerings on key GSA platforms. The guide below provides comprehensive steps for legacy contractors to ensure compliance and take full advantage of the extension.

Important Deadline Extension:

Please note these important deadline extensions:

  1. Deadline for Mass Mod A812 Acceptance: All legacy GSA Schedule Contractors are required to accept Mass Mod A812 by July 31, 2020. This is the initial step towards transitioning to the new, Consolidated GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Contract.
  2. Extended Deadline for GSA Advantage Updates: The deadline for updating GSA Advantage has been extended to October 1, 2020. This extension gives contractors additional time to complete steps 2-4.

Steps for Legacy GSA Contractors:

  1. Accept Mass Mod A812: Make sure your company accepts mass mod A812 to transition to the new GSA MAS Contract. To verify acceptance, check if MAS is listed under your contract number in GSA eLibrary.
  2. Accept Mass Mod A821: Accept all pending mass mods before updating Advantage. This includes mass mod A821, which will align your contract with Refresh 2 of the GSA MAS Solicitation.
  3. Update Your GSA Contract Price List: Your price list should reflect the transition to the new GSA MAS Contract. Crosswalk your legacy SINs to the new SINs and remove references to legacy Schedules.
  4. Upload & Migrate Within SIP/EDI: Upload your revised GSA Price List to GSA Advantage using SIP or EDI. Choose the "Migrate to MAS" option within the Tools menu when uploading. This action updates data in eBuy and, for vendors dealing in products, updates SINs in GSA Advantage product listings.

Implications of Not Completing The Required Steps:

If the required steps are not completed:

  • Contracts will lose visibility on GSA eLibrary.
  • Products will be dropped from GSA Advantage.
  • You could get suspended from eBuy if Mass Mod A812 is not accepted by July 31, 2020.
  • Products listed under legacy SINs will be removed from GSA Advantage after July 31st.
  • There could be potential loss of visibility in eBuy.
